Human Resources Coordinator
This HR Coordinator role supports a wide variety of HR functions with particular emphasis on Benefits and Leave Administration.
Responsibilities:
1. Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
2. Ensures compliance with labor laws and regulations
3. Under the direction of CHRO, administers Tri-Valley benefit plans. Works independently to resolve benefit issues and reconcile benefit statements and invoices.
6. Coordinates claims for Workers Compensation
7. Under direction of CHRO, manages multiple types of Leaves of absence including FMLA, LOA, PFML and others.
8. In collaboration with fiscal, compares/reconciles monthly benefit invoices to employee deduction reports and corrects errors if needed.
9. Enters new employee information and current employee changes into payroll and HR system as needed. Prepares reports to support both HR and fiscal, as needed.
10. Answers employee questions relating to benefits and works with Agency benefit advisor to facilitate resolution.
11. Supports HR Assistant in maintenance of database for driving records, wellness, vaccinations, trainings, performance evaluations, position openings
12. May assist with Staff Recruiting efforts which may include advertising, job description development, and screening
13. Meets with all new employees for Human Resources orientation regarding agency’s benefit program and assists in overall Agency orientation as needed.

Essential Functions/Qualifications:
1. Strong verbal and written communication skills; computer acuity.
2. Bachelor’s Degree required; Additional HR experience may be substituted
3. At least one year of Human Resources experience required.
4. Regular and reliable attendance.
5. Organizational and time management skills.
6. General understanding of federal and state employment laws.
7. Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills.
8. Database management.
9. Spreadsheet, word processing and payroll software proficiency.
10. Maintain confidentiality.

13. Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands:
1. Computer access.
2. Must be able to sit for periods of time at computer.
3. Occasional standing and walking.
