
PCA Admin Assistant

The Administrative Assistant performs administrative tasks for the Personal Care Attendant Program.
Responsibilities:
- Performs neat and accurate typing of required forms for the PCA program.
- Maintains current electronic and paper records of all data for consumers and the department.
- Policy Manual – Responsible for typing additions and deletions authorized by Program Manager, to the department policy manual and maintaining all manual information.
- Responsible for making sure new forms are copied and replaced in Initial Consumer Folders for department staff use.
- Request and save documents into consumer’s electronic files (sign offs, 485s, CarePlans, Over Billing Notices, ETC.)
- Obtains daily PAs (MH, SCOs, and OneCare) and emails to staff along with entering into the PCA software system
- Assist with the referral process, checking eligibility, creating paper and electronic files and distribute assignments.
- Telephone coverage – Explains and answers questions about the PCA Program, accepts referral information and assists with translation as necessary.
- New Consumers – Prepares new consumer folders and intake/orientation folder. Makes certain copies are available of all necessary paperwork for opening a new consumer.
- Assists in the orientation/training of in-house procedures for new department staff.
- Completes all work when needed as directed by the Program Manager and Supervisor. Capable of working independently.
